Deputy District and County Clerk
The Coke County Clerk’s Office is looking for a friendly, dependable, and hardworking person to join our team as Deputy District and County Clerk. We are seeking someone who enjoys helping people, works well in a busy office environment, and takes pride in serving our community.
This position includes a variety of office and clerical duties such as assisting the public, processing documents, maintaining records, answering phones, and supporting the daily operations of the Clerk’s Office.
Responsibilities Include:
- Greeting and assisting the public in a courteous and professional manner
- Answering phones and helping direct questions
- Filing and processing court documents and official records
- Collecting payments and issuing receipts
- Data entry and general office duties
- Assisting with elections and other county-related responsibilities as needed
- Maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all work performed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic computer and typing skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work well with others
- Dependable attendance and positive attitude required
- Previous experience is helpful, but willing to train the right person
